Play @ Kidsafe WA assists organisations in creating and maintaining playgrounds that are fun and engaging for children, encouraging outside play while complying with the Australian Standards and reducing the risk of serious injury.

Playgrounds give children opportunities to play and have fun, often without adult direction and can also help children to learn about themselves – their strengths and their limitations.

Quality playgrounds can also help children learn how to assess risk, negotiate, collaborate and get along with others.

About the Event

Play is such an important learning tool for children. However, ensuring outdoor environments are engaging, challenging and safe is often difficult. Join us to discuss best practices and hear about success stories in the play space from our speakers and their organisations.

Our presenters:

Daniel Burton – Educated by Nature

Gillian McAuliffe – Natures Atelier

Andrew Reedy – Play Check

Todd Dawson – Goodstart Early Learning
