Kidsafe WA New Community Facility

As you may be aware, Kidsafe WA will be moving into a new home in the later part of the year. During the past year we have been busy refurbishing our new
home and community facility in Railway Parade West Leederville.

Since its formation in 1980 Kidsafe WA has been based at Princess Margaret Hospital. With the construction of the new Perth Children’s Hospital, Kidsafe
WA has the exciting opportunity to develop as an organization and move to our own facility in West Leederville. The new facility will incorporate a
brand new Safety Demonstration House, an expanded undercover Child Car Restraint service, a new Community Education facility as well as our research,
injury prevention and administration base. Completion of the new facility is expected towards the end of 2016.

As a not for profit and charity, Kidsafe WA has been fortunate to receive the support from Western Australian government agencies, businesses and individuals
who recognise the importance of preventing unintentional childhood injury and death. Initial contributions from the Joyce Henderson Trust and the Mary
Bremner Estate allowed us to purchase an existing property. Significant funding support received from Lotterywest provided the platform through which
Kidsafe WA was able to commence the redevelopment of the site. As we have progressed with the redevelopment a number of businesses have made contributions
large and small to the refurbishment. This has allowed us to provide a contemporary facility that will welcome children, families, and health care
professionals from all over Western Australia for many years to come!!

BGC have provided much needed building materials to transform our empty shell into a solid building.

Retravision are proudly supporting us with electrical and whitegoods.

Bunnings Warehouse are providing equipment for the new Safety Demonstration House and landscaping.

Joyce Kitchens are supporting us with kitchen cabinetry.

IAG/SGIO have provided support towards the internal fit out of our storage areas

Vision Clad and Alucobond partnered to assist us with the external cladding.

Proving that partnerships get results, Revolution Roofing and Bluescope Steel have teamed up to support us with our roofing
requirements.

Crosby Tiles makes the best choice for Kidsafe WA’s tiles.

Tradelink has supported us with our plumbing requirements.

Dulux are making sure that our walls and ceilings are looking their best.

ATCO Gas have recently come on board as a supporter of the Safety Demonstration House.

Finally our most recent supporter Floorwise will assist us with the internal flooring for the building.

Although we have received an enormous amount of support for this project we are still hoping for a little more help with the final fit out of the space.
We welcome any new businesses who are keen to get on board and help us out.

As each day passes we get closer to being able to take our first tour through the Safety Demonstration House or the first Child Car Restraint Fitting.
In the mean time we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our supporters and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future at our new
home.
