Kidsafe WA’s ongoing partnership with ATCO has helped to spread home safety messages to communities across Western Australia.
Kidsafe WA and ATCO recently visited Busselton to deliver incursions to primary school students to teach them about natural gas and burns safety. Sessions were delivered to year five and six students at Busselton Primary School and Geographe Primary School and engaged students with activities to promote safety messages, in line with the Western Australian Curriculum.
Targeted at Year 5/6 students, the incursions involved an interactive session with ATCO covering natural gas, its origin and how it reaches our homes, along with a session with Kidsafe WA, which included an introduction to burns, how we can prevent them and first aid for burns.
Thank you to Busselton Primary School and Geographe Primary School for having us and ATCO for supporting Kidsafe WA’s child injury prevention programs!
