Kidsafe WA runs several seminars and tours throughout the year to educate parents and carers on common childhood injuries that can occur in and around the home.
The next Baby Safety Seminar will be held in the Kidsafe WA office in Leederville in September. This seminar is designed for expectant parents and carers looking for ways to keep their homes safe and information on safety considerations when preparing for baby’s arrival. The session provides an overview of childhood injuries, home safety tips, a child car restraint fitting demonstration, and a walk through our Safety Demonstration House.

Later in October, Kidsafe WA will be leading a guided tour through the Safety Demonstration house. The tour is designed to demonstrate safe practices that can be replicated in parent’s and carer’s homes. Safety Demonstration House mirrors a typical family home and highlights potential points of child injury. These sessions are made possible through the support of the WA Department of Health.
